COVID COMMUNIQUE -December 2020

Happy Holidays to you all!
December 1, 2020

We wish you and yours well!  Due to Covid mandates we are again closed to all in-person group classes and parties.  We all will hope that anytime soon we’ll be able to open again.  Virtual online classes are continuing.

We know it’s a drag to be on lock-down again but the Christmas magic is still here…holiday twinkle lights are everywhere…and visions of sugarplums are still dancing even if only in our heads.  Keep watching the calendar for class updates since they are changing often.  Current news will be sent out by email with some happenings as well.

We miss you all and have so much appreciated your continued support though the years, and especially during these days of closure. You can still help our small business by buying Gift Certificates for your friends; and donations can made through our online store 24/7.

Merry Everything and Happy Always!

COVID COMMUNIQUE NOVEMBER 2020

DANCEWELL COVID COMMUNIQUE
November-December Business Lock-Down

No worries, things will get better and we will reopen our classes and parties just as soon as allowed. Currently in Washington County reopening will be in 2 weeks [DEC. 3rd] and in Multnomah County 1 month [DEC. 16th].

We at DanceWell are a little discouraged over both the refusal of so many to wear filtration masks and equally the government for mandating business shutdowns yet again. Public safety and business continuity are equally important.

People are social creatures, and many will socialize no matter the mandates. We just hope all socializing anywhere will be with masks in place.

Many businesses have limited and distanced their clients, taken temps regularly, enforced masking, encouraged frequent hand-washing, and regularly sanitized. DanceWell studios also have very high ceilings and plenty of windows for ventilation. We don’t take our clients health for granted — and we ask that our state government consider Oregon business health as well as public health, and take each case on individual merits. Not enough workers to enforce the rules? There are lots of unemployed people right now—give them jobs.

To add your complaints about the negative impacts of freezes and closure mandates to Oregon State Health Authority and also to the governor and Oregon congress: https://www.oregon.gov/gov/pages/share-your-opinion.aspx

Best wishes to everyone over the holidays!

DanceWell Client Health Agreement

I know it feels kind of “off” but the way we look at it is this:  It’s not a bad thing to be other-centered rather than self-centered for a while.  So to be compliant with state and CDC guidelines these are the agreements among DanceWell clients.

HEALTH AGREEMENT 2020.

1]   Please don’t attend functions if contagious with ANY type illness, nor within 14 days exposure to Covid19 through symptomatic family or associates.
2]   Class sizes are limited.  Preregister 2 days prior to the event — and bring your own water bottle for beverage.
3]   Attend with a partner and NOT exchange partners.
4}   Wear a filtration mask entering & exiting the facility, & when interacting with other couples on premises under 6-8 feet distance.–*
5]   Take personal responsibility to stop or take precautions in any activity that might jeopardize your well-being.

Couples wearing face masks dance in a park next to Yangtze River in Wuhan, in Chinas central Hubei province on May 12, 2020. – China reported no new domestic coronavirus infections on May 12, after two consecutive days of double-digit increases, including a new cluster over the weekend in Wuhan, which fuelled fears of a second wave of infections.
